Advanced Analytics
Analytics is the process of discovering concerns, trends and opportunities. It is performed by gathering, processing, interrogating, and relating data to its operational or customer cause and interpreting the story it is telling.
- Reading the data uncovers the journey a business has taken to arrive at its current state while identifying all the factors which have impacted the journey and its intensity.
- Once this is understood, predictive analytics allow us to determine and map a business’s future journey and its next, timed destination.
- Analytics consists of multiple statistical modelling techniques that allow us to perform predictive modelling, segmentation, and data reduction and simplification. These techniques are however only useful if the right questions are asked and if the underlying story within a dataset is correctly interpreted.
- At OASIS we have developed a proprietary model called the Analytics Value Chain. We utilise this model to efficiently perform strategic analytics and optimise your business. For a full understanding of our proprietary methodology, click here.

Business Intelligence
Reporting is fundamental in any business, providing a view of the journey of your business or business functions from a prior to current state and thus enabling you to plan and improve the future of the business.
- Reports are created at two different levels: strategic and operational.
- Strategic reports provide a birds-eye view of the business while operational reports reflect more detail.
- Both levels serve a similar purpose however in that it provides a view of trends and variances that occur and should alert the respective audience to concerns or opportunities that should be addressed.
- Often however, reporting is treated as a tick-box exercise and is not efficiently developed.
- Most reports are loaded with information, but not always useful information. Excess information can easily lose the attention of the intended audience.
- At OASIS, with analytics at our core, we ensure that our reporting is designed and developed to provide value to the business by enabling the right business questions to be asked and facilitating the answers thereto.
